Female figure under stylised foliage is executed in white porcelain with delicate gold and red decor. Lichtág created the sculpture at the State Technical School for Porcelain Industry in Carlsbad, where he worked between 1925 and 1928. During this period, the Art Deco style of the 1920s in his work gave way to more dynamic compositions dedicated to sport and contemporary life. The museum purchased the sculpture directly from the artist in 1927. (lmp)
